Alice Meade
Alice Meade is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, and of the Appalachian School of Law. She is a candidate for an LLM in Taxation from the University of Alabama's School of Law. While in law school, Alice served as Articles Editor for the Appalachian Natural Resources Law Journal. She was awarded book awards (highest grade in her entire law school class) for Evidence and Estates & Trusts. She interned for the nationally known religious freedom law group - The Rutherford Institute in Charlottesville, Virginia. She formerly worked with the law firm of Wolfe, Williams, and Rutherford in Norton, Virginia, as well as the firm of Cook & Neo in Richlands, Virginia. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the Tennessee Bar Association, and the Kingsport Bar Association. Alice is committed to staying current in the legal field, and consistently earns more continuing education hours than is required by the state of Tennessee. She is licensed to practice in all Tennessee state and federal courts, including the Tennessee Supreme Court and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. She is also approved to represent clients before the Internal Revenue Service. Since relocating to Kingsport, she has become a member of Rotary International and the Chamber of Commerce. Alice is of-counsel at the prestigous law firm of Fuller and Vaughn in Kingsport, which specializes in civil litigation. She additionally handles corporate, tax, and family matters.
